LOVE-ly things...

It's very late (early) and I'm obviously still awake. I've spent some time catching up on a few of my favorite blogs and found that I missed the giveaway deadline for posting things I love on Dollie's blog.

Since I do have a rather lengthly list, I thought I'd share with you now and will post a "life update" at another time. Thank you, Dollie, for your inspiration! The idea may not have been an original one, but you took the time to initiate it for me.

I love...

... rocking and cuddling and loving my babies (when they were babies!) and now, thankfully, my grandbabies. I love the sound of their voices and the wonder in their eyes.

... spending time with my now-adult children. I thoroughly enjoy their company.

... puttering around the house - no specific must-do big job or task, but yet accomplishing a lot. I think I must have gotten this from my mom.

... driving... I relish driving on long road trips - great time to think, pray, and sing!

... thunderstorms and blizzards.

... the smells of baking bread, simmering soup, and fresh coffee.

... my husband, truly a gift from God. I love holding hands with him in the middle of the night.

... my lil Mac! I tolerate my pc at work, I love my Mac at home! :)

... the 1st cup of coffee of the day.

... naps on Sunday afternoons.

... spending Saturday mornings enjoying Car Talk with my husband (always proud of the problems he solves before Tom and Ray or coming to the same conclusion).

... working in the flower garden. One would never know by looking at my yard today and writing this helps me realize that this is something I need to make time for, for my own health and sanity (and for those who love me!).

... spending time with my dad. Although not very frequent, I value my time with him.

... my 3 favorite scripture passages: "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13; "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1; "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
